About us
Eric's Custom Finishes is a family owned business located in Pearland-Texas, fifteen minutes south of downtown Houston. We do excellent collision repair and color matching work. Our goal is to exceed your expectations! This shop has existed by word of mouth referrals for over 17 years. We are an ASE certified collision repair shop with a niche in fabrication, and auto graphics.
Today, shops that will do high quality work are hard to find. However, we offer excellent work at competitive prices. Paint and body work is not cheap, it's important to find a shop like us that will spend the extra time to do the job right. In this business saving money on a repair usually means cutting corners, and using cheap materials. Eric's Custom Finishes takes pride in their work, and no short cuts are taken at this shop. Custom Work
As you will see by looking at the photo galleries on this website we are capable of doing: flames, stripes, wood grain and all kinds of cool designs for your car, truck, or motorcycle. Other than custom motorcycles, we do not offer complete paint jobs. All custom work is done on a pay by the hour basis. Custom paint and body work is $50 per hour plus materials. Fabrication and machine work varies in price. We can give you a ball park price based on experience and our own judgement. There is no set price for any certain custom job, and every custom job is different.
Collision Repair
This shop works weekly with insurance companies on collision repair claims for ALL makes and models. This shop holds an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. When your Insurance Company tries to send you to one of their "Pro shops", you should check them out first, it may shock you what you find out. It is your choice where you have repairs done, insurance companies cannot legally tell you to go to one of their shops. Collision repair work is guaranteed at this shop. Insurance rates in this area are set at $45 per hour labor, $30 paint supplies, $50 frame, and $75 mechanical. The rates, repair procedures, and types of parts used are controlled by the insurance industry. We won't charge more unless something special is requested or needed by the customer. If you are very particular about your car like myself and most of our customers, please understand that we can go above and beyond what insurance companies pay for. Operations like color matching, cutting and buffing clear coat, and many other procedures are not covered by insurance policies. These procedures will require extra cost. Each insurance company has different polices for repairs, paint, and parts. However, we will keep you informed every step of the way.
Eric's Custom Finishes is not part of any insurance Direct Reference Program (DRP). This allows us to negotiate with insurance companies for more time to do a better repair, or better choices for parts. For example, there have been instances where a job couldn't be done properly for what an insurance company was willing to pay. We can ask for more time and money for the job, but a DRP shop has to to it for what the insurance company is willing to pay. If we cannot reach an agreement with an insurance company , the customer has the choice to pay additional for a quality repair, or try their luck at one of the insurance's DRP shops. Remember, insurance referral shops work for the insurance companies better intrests. We work with the customer! In our shop the customer will be informed ahead of time if there is any problems.
